ONE opened its first Veterans Home in Queen Street, Dublin in 1994 following the deaths of a number of homeless veterans on the streets of Dublin.  Brú na bhFiann (as the home was known) could accommodate 20 veterans at any one time.

Today, there are three ONE Homes, a new Brú na bhFiann (opened in 2005), located in Smithfield, Dublin which can accommodate 35 veterans in en-suite bedrooms, Beechwood House (Brú Doire Feá), which also opened in 2005 and located in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal and Custume House (Brú Chostúim) (opened in 2006), situated in Athlone, Co. Westmeath (both with accommodation for 7 veterans).  The development of a fourth home has commenced in Cobh, Co. Cork which will be able to accommodate 5 veterans.

If you are a veteran in need of accommodation, or if you know of a veteran in such circumstances contact one of our House Managers at Brú nabhFiann, Dublin (Richard or Sinead at 01 4850600), Beechwood House, Letterkenny (Aidan 086 044 9248) or Custume House, Athlone (Pat at 086 0449244)
